I started a partnership with France Design Ceramic, a company established in Desvres who manufacture sanitary products. Invited to exhibit at the Desvres Ceramic Museum, I began my work by using the elements found in their waste containers. Although they come from industrial manufacturing processes, I was very surprised to feel the gestures of the workers in the pieces, especially when I looked at the manually created holes. It reminded me that we both work with the transformation of clay, a geological material which comes from another time scale. Put back into the kiln, I just carry on the process.
